Its My Laptop!!.. But,Who is using all its memory!!..

Got my Laptop 2 yrs back with a 250GB storage. Just thought of cleaning my computer by moving all my personal datas to an external hard drive.Everything is done. But to my surprise, only 75GB of storage is left. What the hell happened to all of the remaining storage. Started investing with my sixth sense.. lol..

And finally got to know that it is because of two culprits gigantic hiberfil.sys file, pagefile.sys sitting in the root of C: drive. I tried all I could to get rid of it to free up some space!!.. but failed. No other go, asked my BAU Master “GOOGLE” to help me in that and he redirected me to the microsoft link.

I found this link useful and thought it will surely help someone of same mind 🙂

  1. Haven’t clean your laptop for more than two years? Lazy!!!!!!!

Here are the tools that I use.

Use “windirstat” – http://goo.gl/NV6D – This tool will let you know the files/directories order by size.

Use “ccleaner” – http://goo.gl/rmRB – The best cleaner for windows.
